About Cross Creek HOA
Cross Creek DeLand HomeOwners Association is a deed restricted community, with automatic membership in the homeowners’ association for all owners of Phases I, II, and III. Ownership provides the homeowners of each lot with voting rights.
Meetings
The Board meets six times a year at the nearby Liberty Baptist Church, 1365 West Plymouth Avenue, DeLand, at 6 PM (typically the 2nd Tuesday of every other month) and all owners are welcome to attend. Meeting notice is through the website and signage posted at the main mail center bulletin board. The Annual Meeting is held in December and owners receive notice of the meeting 14 days in advance. Director elections occur at the annual meeting. The budget, which considers projected expenses for maintenance, business operations, and future projects for the community is established by the Board and presented to the community. The board may also make decisions between meetings that is in the normal course of business and call emergency or special meetings with 48 hour notice to the community.
Board Positions and Members
Cross Creek DeLand Homeowner’s Association is self-managed by a five-member Board of Directors, elected by residents at the Annual Meeting (or appointed by the board between annual meetings) and terms are staggered. The president and vice-president are elected from within the board of directors, though the secretary and treasurer positions are not required to be directors. Any homeowner is eligible to run for a director position. All director and officer positions are volunteer.

Board Committees
Architectural Review Board (ARB) – to provide guidance for builders/owners of Cross Creek properties for construction plans, maintenance tasks, repairs, restoration, or improvements to homes and lots. Additionally, to assist residents on compliance issues with covenant restrictions. Current Chair is Al Alvarez.
Welcome – to greet and welcome new residents into the Cross Creek community; distribute telephone directory and other pertinent community documents. Current Chair is Linda Stuart.
Landscaping/Maintenance Committee – to maintain and enhance the common area of the Cross Creek community. Current Chair is Brad Stuart.
